Clocha na hÉireann . . .Stones of Ireland Monument in Donegal, Ireland
The Stones of Ireland Monument is a collaborative sculpture designed by members of the Tír Chonaill Stone Festival committee and crafted by stonemasons from each of the nation’s counties using native Irish stone artwork (from each county). The individual carved pieces where donated to the sculpture to create a new unique standalone monument and stunning attraction to the Donegal Countryside. The monument was launched at the Tír Chonaill Stone Festival in Glencolmcille, County Donegal in 2016.
Clocha na hÉireann attracts tens of thousands of tourists each year and has inspired the Tír Chonaill Stone Festival to seek out other projects across Donegal that promote Irish Stone Craft.
“Clocha na hÉireann….celebrates a spirit of unity for Ireland’s children and their shared future.”
